What you will do

Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.

How you will do it:

• Creation of a database for standard engineering, drafting and shop hours from a predetermined list of common specials. These specials are items added to chillers produced in North American plants. Determination of these hours is based on historical data and interviews with all the relevant teams.
• Creation of a system to determine the real-time backlog of the contract engineering teams for the North American plants based on the standard engineering hours from above.

What we look for

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
• Pursuing a degree in engineering or computer science
• Currently an active student
• GPA requirement : 3.0
• Hours/week requirement: 40 hours per week
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrates an ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) preferred
• Demonstrated problem solving skills required
• Experience in computer programing a plus
• Statistical data analysis focus or experience
