Description:

The Facility Condition Assessor will perform assessment services nationwide. Supporting ASG Capital Planning initiatives, you will be responsible for documenting building deficiencies, quantifying deferred maintenance backlog(s), and helping to develop practical lifecycle forecasts for our diverse customer base. You possess a strong understanding of buildings, their associated systems, and continue to seek opportunities for continuous professional development. The role requires travel on a frequent basis. This will be supplemented with desktop work, supporting our analyst and project management teams to deliver on-time and on-budget. Other duties include asset reviews, stakeholder interviews, data management, cost estimating, research, quality assurance, project coordination, and report writing.

The role will provide growth pathways for individuals willing to be proactive, continuously hone their craft, and those who demonstrate leadership skills on a day-to-day basis. You will possess strong communication skills, be viewed as an exceptional team player, and continue to cultivate positive business relationships with your peers.

Responsibilities:

Become an expert user of Ameresco's proprietary software suite: AssetPlanner;

Develop processes and systems to efficiently execute project objectives on-time;

Demonstrate financial acumen for budgeting and deliver projects on-budget;

Proactively support Ameresco projects by supporting data management and project management functions;

Professionally represent Ameresco by coordinating project activities and liaising directly with customer stakeholders;

Conduct high quality building facility condition assessments in a professional and courteous manner;

Research industry standards and perform cost estimating using best practices, documenting your processes;

Prepare facility condition reports, and other technical reports, detailing assessment findings;

Prepare and support executive summary presentations with key customer stakeholders; and

Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree closely related to the built environment, preferably in engineering or architecture

Minimum of 3+ years' professional experience in a relevant field

Additional Requirements:

Exposure to practical project management fundamentals

Willingness to obtain a professional certification related to buildings, building systems, or engineering

Understanding of health, safety, and security standards in building environments.

Excellent computer skills, familiar with navigating software systems, and an expert user of Microsoft Office

Exceptional communication and leadership skills. An ability to work productively within multi-disciplinary teams

Willingness to travel nationally; up to 50% of your time
