Overview:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about using the power of realworld data, analytic tools and differentiated ways to present real world evidence (RWE) to solve healthcare's biggest challenges. Currently, we are seeking a Senior Director/Principal, HEOR to join our Data Solutions team. This individual will be responsible for building and delivering a portfolio of RWE studies that leverage Inovalon's expansive healthcare data and platforms. A significant portion of the role will involve working with our sales team to engage prospective customers in the life sciences sector about their evidence gaps and how we can solve for this. Successful candidates will bring an established track record for delivering innovative RWE within the life sciences sector. This position will report to the Vice President, HEOR. Extensive consulting experience to life sciences customers is required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize deep knowledge of observational research methods, US healthcare data, and the life sciences sector to build a portfolio of HEOR/RWE projects with new and existing customers;
  • Use superior knowledge of large scale, real-world datasets to identify customer gaps and opportunities;
  • Write customer proposals, statements of work, and presentations;
  • Serve as research leader/principal investigator of customer engagements and direct cross-functional project teams;
  • Represent Inovalon in public forums, including speaking engagements, customer meetings, and conferences;
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement;
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA requirements as outlined within Inovalon's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the undertaking of the position; and
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the Employer.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of8 years of consultative experience selling AND leading HEOR/RWE studies with life science customers is required;
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a principal-equivalent role with revenue and sales goals OR commensurate experience leading evidence generation activities for a therapeutic book of business in biopharma or med device;
  • Proven expertise in real-world data, especially closed claims datasets;
  • Experience with RWE analytic platforms and data visualization tools is preferred;
  • Proven experience in project leadership, including oversight of cross-functional project teams, adhering to timelines and budget, and high customer satisfaction;
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytic skills; and
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to concisely explain complicated concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in HEOR, pharmacoeconomics, health policy, public policy, healthcare management, public health, public administration, health economics, business administration, law, or relevant discipline; or
  • Master's degree or PHD in relevant discipline preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time);
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force;
  • Frequently or constantly to lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects and repetitive motions;
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions; and
  • Travel for this position will be approximately 20%, including spending one week each quarter in our Bowie, Maryland headquarters.

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

Base Compensation Range
$174,446$220,000 USD
