Overview

This position is for a D964 Facilities and Real Estate Program Representative. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing project and property management requirements of the real estate and facility needs of Electric Boat at Quonset Point. Below is a list of some of the responsibilities this individual will be responsible for:

    Work with Facilities leads and management, building occupants, particularly business unit leaders to ensure production requirements are addressed in the 5 year capital plan.
  • Work with Finance on overhead and capital budgets; submit monthly accruals, budget forecasts, and reconciliation of actuals.
  • Provide project management duties in the development of new/and or renovated facilities and the replacement of large mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or structural systems.
  • Assist in the preparation and administration of design, consultant and contractor agreements required to implement company real estate and facility requirements.
  • Lead diverse, multi-functional teams in design and construction of real estate projects, including but not limited to internal company teams, third party project managers, architects, engineers, material testing agencies, general contractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Four to ten years' experience related to facilities construction or project management.
  • Internal candidate must be from organizations outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of submarine manufacturing
  • Program Management experience is a plus
  • A 2 or 4 year degree relating to facilities construction or management from an accredited university

Skills
  • Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with design and construction contractors.
  • Candidates will be expected to become involved in on-going issues through their own initiative, and will be expected to assist in the resolution of emergent issues using independent judgment, ingenuity and creativity.
  • Familiarization with Excel, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD are beneficial.
