ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Write and perform test scripts for electronic testing.
  • Perform visual inspection and functional testing of incoming products or components.
  • Develop test plans and checklists for customer-specific electrical and electronic assemblies and subassemblies. Including coordination with manufacturing engineering, quality, and design engineering.
  • Perform final testing and failure analysis on all subassemblies and fully integrated assemblies following established test procedures, using both custom and standard test equipment.
  • In-depth troubleshooting of all failed components, subassemblies, and integrated systems when necessary.
  • Perform general maintenance and calibration on the test equipment.
  • Maintain basic tools and test fixtures used in the assembly and testing process.
  • Perform basic RMA functions on electronic and electrical products including evaluations and RMA work orders.
  • Perform training of Test Technicians on test procedures for specific products; including basic troubleshooting for those products
  • Document and maintain test results in the department database.

QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Trade school training and/or a minimum of 2 years related work experience in electrical assembly and testing preferred.
  • Ability to read and write, comply with written instructions, and complete job-related paperwork.

Additional Requirements:

  • Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR-controlled site. All candidates must be a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.

The Electronic Test Technician is responsible for the subassembly and integrated system testing of electronic and electrical products, including the development of test plans, writing scripts, and troubleshooting of failed systems and assemblies.
