Position Overview

The Emerging Organized Customer Marketing Senior Manager will be responsible for leading marketing initiatives that position Exact Sciences as a trusted partner in detecting and preventing cancer. This individual will implement marketing projects that enable personal promotion through field account managers and non-personal promotion through event, peer-to-peer, and digital channels. This role will also work closely with functional leadership to identify, segment, and prioritize customer profiles and generate customer insights to inform strategy, message and resource development, execution, and measurement. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding marketing acumen, as well as collaboration and project management skills, including the ability to manage without authority, communicate effectively with marketing agencies, external and internal partners, and field-based account teams, and manage budgets.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Maintain strong understanding of the dynamics of the health care landscape - including those affecting health systems and payers - and the related impacts on employers, federal and state entities, congregate care facilities, cause-advocacy organizations, and other organizations.
  • Collaborate across multiple internal and external teams to serve as a catalyst for strategic engagement with organized customers and ensure cross-functional alignment on customer needs and downstream execution of resources.
  • Cultivate customer insights through regular market research and VOC activities to inform planning of new strategies and tactics and assessment of ongoing activities.
  • Partner with the colleagues in the Health Systems Marketing team and cross-functional collaborators to translate market trends into relevant resources, with outside-the-box thinking to create disruptive solutions which enable Exact Sciences to meet our mission of early cancer detection.
  • Drive projects from ideation to execution, serving as functional lead for launch of new assets, including field- and customer-facing resources, and coordinating with internal partners on immediate and ongoing field training needs.
  • Collaborate with functional leadership to assess and report business impact of across all projects.
  • Lead regular engagements with field account managers to gain real-time customer insights, communicate ongoing and upcoming marketing programs, and identify gaps/opportunities.
  • Coordinate the work of multiple external vendors, including agency partners, and collaborate with internal departments including Marketing, Training, Customer Experience, Market Research, Legal, Regulatory, Corporate Compliance, and IT.
  • Develop subject-matter expertise on topics including employer-sponsored healthcare and wellness benefits, insurance payers and quality measures, value-based care, population health management and other trends impacting healthcare consumers and stakeholders into actionable strategies and tactics.
  • Participate in ongoing refinement of asset- and resource-creation processes to maximize both cost efficiencies and speed to market.
  • Ability to organize work effectively, prioritize work, and align the work to organizational initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed and organized manner using excellent planning and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel 30% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, marketing, business administration or field related to essential duties.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing or commercial field.
  • Demonstrated outstanding marketing acumen.
  • Proficient computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing experience across health care, life sciences, or related industries.
  • Master's degree in healthcare field, business administration or field related to essential duties.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare landscape (i.e., employer-sponsored health and wellness programs, payment reform topics, care redesign, value-based care, population health management, health equity) as it relates to organized customers.
  • Project management experience.

Salary Range:

$129,000.00 - $208,000.00

The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
